Every part of your home keeps its own calendar. Lyntl keeps them all.

Lyntl is a home-maintenance app. Tell it what is in your home: the boiler, the radiators, the gutters, the washing machine. It knows the maintenance each one needs and how often, sends a push notification when a job is due, and keeps a record of every service you log.

Lyntl is in a private pilot and not yet open to the public. Write to hello@lyntl.app.

One boiler, and everything done to it

Follow a single appliance through its first years: an example gas boiler in the example house. Lyntl reminds you when a job is due and keeps the services you log. Seeing its whole history in one place, and keeping the invoice with each service, come after the pilot; those steps are marked “after the pilot” below.

  1. Year 1, March

    Bought and added

A new boiler goes into the kitchen. You find it in Lyntl’s list and add it to your home. It arrives with its maintenance already set up: a yearly service by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

  2. Year 2, February

    The first reminder

Nearly a year on, nobody has thought about the boiler since it went in. Lyntl has: a push notification says the yearly service is due, so you book the engineer.

  3. Year 2, March

    Service logged

The engineer services it. You mark the job as done, and it goes into the boiler’s record. The next service is set for a year later.

    In Lyntl now

  4. Year 2, March

    The invoice, kept with it

Add the engineer’s invoice or receipt to the service it belongs to, so it is with the boiler when you look for it later instead of in a drawer.

    After the pilot: invoice upload

  5. Year 3, December

    A repair

The pressure keeps dropping and an engineer replaces a valve. It goes into the boiler’s history next to its services, so whoever looks next can see what has been done to it.

After the pilot: the appliance history

  6. Year 4, February

    The next service

The reminder comes round again on its own, a year after the last service. The boiler’s record grows by one more line.

The boiler, its dates and its repair are examples, not advice. Follow your manufacturer’s instructions and use a Gas Safe registered engineer for gas work.

How Lyntl works

No single job in a home is hard. What makes them easy to miss is that each comes round rarely, on its own schedule, and nobody keeps the whole list. Lyntl keeps the list, so you only have to do the job when it comes up.

  1. Find it

Look up your appliance in Lyntl’s list, or the part of the house you want to look after.

  2. Set it up

It comes with its maintenance tasks and how often each is due, picked by hand. If one doesn’t fit your appliance or how you use it, change it.

  3. Add it to your home

It joins everything else Lyntl is keeping track of for you.

  4. Get reminded

When a job is due, a push notification says what needs doing and to which thing.

  5. Log the service

Mark it done, and it goes into the record for that thing.

  6. Repeat

The next due date follows on by itself. You don’t have to remember it.

  2. Check the pressure gauge changed from every 3 months to every month
